A. Description and Scope of Data Processing

C. Purposes of the Data Processing
We use different types of cookies for the purposes described below.
- Account-related cookies. We may use account-related cookies to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts. We may use these cookies to remember information that changes the way the Website behaves or looks, such as the "remember me" functionality.
- Essential Cookies. Certain cookies are necessary for the functionality of our website. The purpose of using such cookies is to simplify and facilitate the use of our website for the users. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without such cookies. In other words, for these functions it is necessary that the user’s browser be recognized even if the user has visited other internet pages since the user’s last visit to our website. Disclosure of Personal Data

- Your information may be processed by a third party in order to maintain the functionality of our Site and customer database.
- In the event that you add items to your basket but do not complete a transaction, we use a third party provider that will automatically send you an e-mail to remind you that there are items in your basket.
- While you are a member of our mailing list we may share your information with trusted non-core service providers, such as marketing partners we have carefully selected to deliver incentives to participate in offers, polls, surveys, analysis or research, all of which assist us in enhancing our services. They are not permitted to use your information after you unsubscribe.
- If you make an inquiry to the customer services team via email or telephone, the details of your inquiry will be securely stored against your customer record in our helpdesk system. This allows us to accurately respond to your query in a timely manner, and keep a record of responses that have been given.
We also use services offered by Google, Rakuten Marketing, Facebook, Instagram and other similar social media platforms to better tailor our marketing communications and for targeted advertising. We also receive insights from Facebook about the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns which you experience on our Site and social channels; this helps to better target our advertising.
We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of our website. Your personal information will be transmitted to countries outside of the EU, including the United States. If your personal data is transferred outside the EU to third party service providers, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data receives the same level of protection as if it remained within the EU, including by entering into data transfer agreements using the European Commission approved Standard Contractual Clauses, or by relying on certification schemes such as the EU – US Privacy Shield.
Weissman reserves the right to share any information that you provide which is not deemed personal data or is not otherwise subject to legal restrictions.
How Long We May Keep Your Information
We retain the information you provide for the following periods:
- for as long as you subscribe to receive marketing information;
- for as long as your account is being used, and for a reasonable period thereafter;
- in the case of any contact you may have with our Customer Care team for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reports and trend analysis.
- for as long as may be permitted to support legitimate business functions, or as required under applicable law.
Removal From Email, Phone, Postal Mail and Database Lists
You may contact us via email, phone, fax, or postal mail if you do not want to receive emails or mailings from us, or if you would prefer that we not share information with our database partners. You may also unsubscribe from our email list by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the email received.
Weissman reserves the right to share any information that you provide which is not deemed personal data or is not otherwise subject to legal restrictions.
How We Protection Your Information
Weissman is committed to safeguarding and protecting your personal data from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, and utilizes and maintains certain reasonable processes, systems, and technologies to do so.
To protect the safety of customer credit and debit card information, we use a PCI DSS compliant third party which encrypts the information using secure server technology. Once customers enter the checkout page, their computers will begin communication in full encryption mode. The "http" in the web address/URL will be replaced by "https" to indicate secure mode. We do not store credit or debit card information in our systems. The information is shared only with the payment processors and fraud protection services that service the transactions.
If you have signed up for an account that requires a password to access this Site, it is your responsibility to keep this password confidential. We ask that you do not share a password with anyone.
Children's Privacy
Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a subscriber is under the age of 13 and has signed up without prior verifiable parental consent we will remove his or her personally identifiable information from our files.
