The Fort Worth Botanic Garden (FWBG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to our Mission to explore the critically important world of plants, collaborate to discover the role they play in our cultural and natural environments, and engage people to conserve nature and improve the human experience.
We are an international scientific research, learning center, and botanic garden located in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, Texas engaged in our mission to explore, discover, and engage with the world of plants together with our community. This means that we’re a curious group of people and, at every level of our organization, you will be working alongside enthusiastic advocates of our mission. Those with a green thumb or a green mindset will fit right in, as will anyone who is solution-focused, dedicated to learning from mistakes, and resolute to be honest and kind.
We asked employees who joined our Garden in 2024 what they valued most about working here. Here is what they shared!
“The peaceful and rewarding work environment with a good culture… Positive experiences… Flexible schedule and generous time off - especially helpful for parents… The happiness of colleagues… Appreciation for the team, leadership style, and overall atmosphere… Belief in the importance of work for the community… Enjoyment of the people and environment… Trust from leadership and rewarding work… Friendliness, respect, appreciation, and camaraderie… Positive interactions with our guests... Love for the job, mission, people, and beautiful campus.”
The Work Experience at the Garden
As part of our team, you will collaborate with and learn from other passionate individuals who enjoy a workplace immersed in the beauty of nature. Our employees enjoy a welcoming, positive, and inclusive workplace culture that serves our community, brings joy to children and families, and demonstrates the core values of respect, integrity, collaboration and enthusiasm in our day-to-day interactions with each other. All full-time employees have access to outstanding medical benefits and exceptional paid time off. Many positions are able to take advantage of scheduling flexibility and hybrid work options. FWBG gives employees many opportunities to actively participate in conversations and decisions that impact their jobs and our guest experience. In return, our employees are making it possible for FWBG to expand our botanical research and biodiversity conservation programs, engage with a large and diverse audience, create exceptional gardens to inspire and serve our guests, and change lives through our learning and engagement programs.
