Position Summary: The Clinician will be a part of our Emergency Services Team, assigned to provide evaluation and treatment of youth in crisis. Staff will conduct emergency assessment screenings; treatment planning; evidence based therapeutic intervention; care coordination; and consultation on site in the office, in homes and in the community. The Mobile Crisis Clinician will be responsible for responding to calls within one hour. Clinician and Case Manager will provide wrap around services and care coordination for up to 30 days following initial evaluation for children open to the MRSS team. The clinician will work collaboratively with the case manager to ensure appropriate services are in place to meet the client’s needs and utilizing natural supports for safety. This clinician will be responding to crisis calls in the East Bay area (East Providence, Barrington, Warren and Bristol) but may also respond to calls in the Providence area, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required
- Required to be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Therapist or Mental Health Counselor
- Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
- Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated
- Flexible schedule with some evenings
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Eligible for QMHP Certification
- Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
- Mobile Crisis Clinicians earn an additional $1,084.00 monthly incentive.
Physical Requirements: This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
- Communicate effectively
- Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
