Description

Our client is a top automotive supplier in Southeast Michigan (Belleville) providing services to Chrysler, John Deere, General Motors and more! In their facility with the following equipment:

  • 250,000 Square Foot Stamping Plant
  • 26 Cranes up to 35 Tons
  • Loading Docks
  • 59 Stamping Presses
  • 7 Press Tandem Line
  • Toggle Presses up to 3250 Tons
  • Coil Fed Progressive Die Capability – 3,000 Tons

We are seeking good reliable employees that are interested in entering the manufacturing world. Our positions require little to know experience in the booming and growing industry. Great opportunity for those who seeking the experience and also this position is felonly friendly.

1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm

2nd Shift: 4pm-12:30am

Overtime is usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. Overtime is mostly optional but can be mandatory based on workload.

Qualifications

  • Sets up dies from start to finish so they are production ready
  • Die setting functions: responsible for a Quick Die Change overs, First/Last piece approval, proper use and set up of load guard (tonnage monitor); PLC system (programming, sensor verification)
  • Possess mechanical aptitude required for assisting in tool replacements
  • Loading and unloading coils of steel and dies to the press
  • Operation of forklift and overhead crane
  • Troubleshooting problems
  • Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or customer notes using instruments such as gauges.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally able to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma or equivalent desired
  • Must have reliable transportation, not accessible by public transportation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift (8-10 hours)
