Statement of Purpose:
Works closely with the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, and other members of the marketing and communications department in the development and execution of collateral and advertising material.
Responsibility for Work of Others:
Coordinate with stakeholders (which can include Communications staff, other NIB staff, NIB associated nonprofit agency staff, and vendors) to ensure that projects are executed as intended and completed on time and within budget. This position will not supervise or be directly responsible for the work of others, except as part of a project work group. This position will be responsible for multiple on-going projects and deliverables.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, and project planning support functions. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable.
Training and Specialized Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be detail oriented and organized, able to handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience designing a wide variety of projects, from social media graphics to booklets to magazine-length marketing pieces and annual reports.
- Experience coordinating with vendors for both graphic design and production work.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Overall Duties
- Coordinates external marketing and design agencies and consultants.
- Maintains the branding and graphic design elements of marketing activities (advertising, print and digital collateral, publications, etc.) used to deliver coordinated brand and corporate messages, promotions, and creative content.
- Implements and tracks production of graphic communications projects, creates project deadlines, develops workflows, and monitors expenses. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Executes graphic communications projects. Communicates progress and requests approvals from stakeholders as required, manages graphic communication project files, both print and electronic.
- Designs marketing materials.
Advertising Media Campaign Development & Management
- Develops and designs digital and printed advertising materials.
Brand Management
- Participates in brand strategy sessions and assists in managing NIB’s brand.
- Maintains and updates NIB’s signage and collateral to reflect current branding.
- Updates hallways monitor templates to show relevant information and maintain NIB’s corporate brand messaging.
Publications
- Serves as the creative coordinator for Opportunity Magazine (collects photography, provides creative input, updates, and maintains distribution lists, and manages printing and mailing with vendor).
- Manages design concept, layout, and edits for annual reports. Manages print production and mailing.
- Maintains relationships with printing vendors (attends meetings, reviews and collects samples, and sends all materials to be printed).
Product Marketing Support
- Manages the creative production of quarterly web banners and assists with image formatting using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assists with the production of quarterly toolkits, spec sheets, and catalogs using the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Word and Excel. Documents and monitors process flow for continuous improvements.
- Sources design and print vendors; manages and tracks workflow of print production, distribution, and fulfillment.
Trade Shows/Events
- Manages the production of creative materials in support of all trade shows. Designs and updates materials as needed using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manages creative deliverables for NIB conferences (creates and maintains production calendars; manages the design of all creative materials; sources and coordinates printing and distribution of all creative materials)
Photography

- Acts as lead photographer for office events. Makes edits to photography using Adobe Creative Suite when needed.
- Sources, schedules, and manages photographers for events and conferences.
- Maintains relationships with photographers.
Manages employee photo library. Documents and monitors photo collection and catalog process for continuous improvement.
Packaging
- Participates in proofing packaging designs.
Planning, Budgeting, and Analysis
- Tracks graphic and other project expenditures against budget. Researches and obtains vendor bids, consultant costs, and other expenditures.
- Drafts internal status reports, maintains project files, and tracks project expenses against estimated costs.
