This is a unique opportunity to join us at Award Winning Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider. We are looking for a positive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented candidate to join our talented team as a Tour Guide at our Strip District Distillery location!
Wigle Whiskey Distillery celebrates craft spirits and local whiskey history. We are seeking a part-time Tour Guide to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a people-oriented individual who carries a passion for the city of Pittsburgh, Wigle Spirits, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Applicants must have Saturday availability.
Primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Training Responsibilities:
- Complete the paid training period in a one month time span.
- Attend 2 tours given by current Wigle Tour Guides – at no cost and you can bring one friend to each tour.
- Study the tour script and FAQ sheet.
- Come to a Distiller information session in which you will meet one-on-one with one of our Distillers to learn about the distillation process.
- Give two public tours with the assistance of a veteran tour guide; one with a history focus and the other with a production focus.
- Schedule a (free) practice tour for 8-12 of your friends and family and a current Wigle team member as a practice run.
Tour Responsibilities:
- Setting up and breaking down tours;
- Welcoming tour attendees;
- Conducting hour-long tours throughout the Wigle production space;
- Informing and educating customers on our products;
- Assisting our front-of-house bartender with bottle sales.
*Please note that this role involves physical labor, requiring consistent movement throughout the production space.
