Responsibilities:

  • Provide GID Office of the Director with branding formatting and layout options recommendation to enhance the clarity and navigability of the GID Workplan system for GID staff. CDC branding and style guide policies must be met.
  • Design layout templates and prototypes of reports for external and internal audiences.
  • Design and develop data visualization aids(e.g. graphics, PowerPoint, report templates) using data to assist management in setting priorities, assessing progress and results, ensuring cross-collaboration and aligning resources with the GID mission.
  • Provide recommendations to the GID Office of the Director on how to ensure that the WorkPlan contains: project and spending data by region and country, technical topic area, spending categories for the Congressional budget justification and strategic framework goals, priorities and objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to the GID Office of the Director on how to ensure that the WorkPlan contains program data that will allow GID to measure progress, and the results achieved through investments.
  • Provide quarterly quality assurance reports by email in MS Word documents to the GID COR.
  • Participate in monthly conference calls with CDC to provide updates on progress and seek inputs on activities related to tasks identified in the PWS.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

 

Appearance: All personnel shall be attired in business casual clothing for daily work. Attire worn should always ensure employees safety from working conditions (long pants, appropriate shirts and close toe shoes as required): on occasion, staff may be required to wear a business dress for certain activities.

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Business Administration or related field
  • 3 – 5 years in a Business Analyst role
  • Technical Skills: MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, Email
  • Must have the ability to work in the US
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Able to pass Federal Government security/background check
  • Capable of effectively communicating in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CDC or related organizations (NIH, WHO)
  • Experience managing data analytics and communication materials in various forms (print, website, SharePoint sites, presentations, logos, fact sheets, journals)
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to confirm requirements and manage tasks and schedules to create project deliverables
  • Experience utilizing project management tools and practices to track, schedule and manage data analytics projects
  • Experience creating health communication materials including design, layout, and editing services
