Description

The TSA Checked Baggage Technologies (CBT) Division (CBTD) performs planning and execution of acquisition, procurement, and strategic planning activities for the Electronic Baggage Screening Program. The DSD (Deployment and Sustainment) Division provides all technology deployment and sustainment support to the Checked Baggage Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in preparation of responses to data calls for past and current deployment information. As data calls are received, coordinate with regional support to gather information required and compile in consistent format.
  • Consolidate and coordinate all reporting activities from all regions in support of all scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requirements (including checkpoint and checked baggage activities) and consolidate within the Deployment Interactive Viewer of Equipment (DIVE) tool, or other approved format. Monitor the DIVE mailbox and assist with questions and requests that are received. Distribute Dive Weekly Update.
  • Create, as needed, new DIVE dashboards and/or reports based on report schedule or ad-hoc requests, including monthly DIVE usage reports and biannual DIVE POC List updates.  This includes managing and leading DIVE tool development.
  • Support Sunflower vs. TSALC inventory reconciliation with Access Database.
  • Collaborate with other Deployment stakeholders, to include but not limited to the System Integrators, the Government Property Management (GPM) contractor team, and the ReMAG contractor team, to streamline and integrate data.
  • Perform integrity reviews, validation, and auditing of all deployment data (across all three regions, technologies, and projects) for accuracy and consistency.  Run weekly reports of DLD activities and work with regional POCs to confirm efforts match Government Property tracking.
  • Maintain Deployed Locations Report based on Government Property management system. Add new TSE and data fields as necessary.
  • Provide support activities for screening equipment asset management reporting to include development of weekly reports that detail equipment currently deployed at airports and weekly changes in deployed quantities.
  • Provide support activities for warehouse reporting to include data analysis, document creation, stakeholder coordination and dashboards.
  • Develop communications and familiarization materials to support the deployment of new tools, dashboards, reports, process flows, and other deliverables as applicable. Provide technical support as applicable.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analytics involving creating, updating, and maintaining dashboards and/or reports as requested. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and a detail focused team player
  • MS Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Must have experience working with dashboards and data reporting. PowerBI preferred
  • BA/BS required
  • Prior work experience within DHS and/or TSA, preferred
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment, preferred
  • Must be able to travel on-site to the TSIF HQ in Arlington, VA every Wednesday and Thursday

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
