Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to prepare loan documentation within the loan platform system and review loan documents for compliance, accuracy, and completeness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • General knowledge of lending compliance laws and regulations, with a willingness to gain in-depth knowledge as needed.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of loan documentation and perfection of security interests.
  •  Strong decision-making and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn to use specialized lending software programs
  • Commitment to policy and regulatory adherence.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare loan documents in accordance with policy and loan approval.
  • Review centrally prepared loan documents prior to closing for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with laws, regulations, and bank policy.
  • Work directly with the Commercial Relationship Managers to aid in facilitating loan closings.
 
  • Maintain an accurate loan policy waiver report.
  • Maintain an accurate loan-to-value exception report.
  • Maintain an accurate tracking of HMDA reportable transactions to be reported on the bank’s LAR.
  • Assist lending staff, at all levels, with compliance questions.
  • Assist in Scanning and Indexing documents into Synergy
  • Assist with loan advances, loan payments, and research
  • Assist with booking and selling secondary market loans
  • Assist with tracking exceptions
  • Performs other duties as assigned and directed by management

Equipment Operated

Calculator, fax, copier, telephone, computer printer, and a PC with the following computer software: LaserPro, CreditQuest, DecisionPro, Silverlake, Synergy, Teslar, Adobe Acrobat, Word, and Excel.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily at a desk. The position requires regular contact with employees and occasionally customers/vendors, both in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The position requires the ability to create and review detailed documents and read computer screens. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience or education.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience working in a financial institution setting.
