EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must have:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) years of experience in the field consistent with the requirements set forth in Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience as a licensed A&P mechanic. Years for military aviation maintenance experience may be used in combination with licensed A&P experience to meet the five (5) year requirement.
- Valid state driver’s license.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with aviation industry maintenance management and logistics information systems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a current FAA A&P license and current Driver’s License.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a SECRET government security clearance and a favorable personal background check. Must be able to travel and/or deploy at relatively short notice. This position requires varied work shifts and the ability to work in a highly structured environment. Must adhere to KING AEROSPACE Cornerstone Principles.
