About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Ecommerce Assistant / Catalog Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our ecommerce operations by managing large product catalogs, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing listings for performance. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, methodical, and has a strong grasp of ecommerce best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage large catalogs of products across multiple categories.
- Create, edit, and optimize product listings with accurate titles, descriptions, images, and specifications.
- Perform regular audits of existing product listings to ensure data consistency and completeness.
- Research product information across manufacturer and distributor websites.
- Format product content using basic HTML for optimal display and readability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (content, purchasing, and customer service) to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
- Support bulk imports/exports and SKU management using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Implement eCommerce best practices related to product taxonomy, SEO, and user experience.
