GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Site Director is responsible for overseeing, managing, and developing the Sky Valley Community Resource Center. Plans, develops, and provides support to the Skykomish Valley communities of E. Monroe, Sultan, Gold Bar, Startup, Index, Baring and Skykomish. Integrates services and provides assistance to public through coordination and collaboration with other VOAWW Community Resource Centers, outside VOAWW staff, other nonprofits, elected leaders, municipal staff, and other community leaders, as well as Snohomish County Human Services Department staff.

 

Principal Activities:

Directs all Community Resource Center activities out of the Sky Valley Community Resource Center campus, including, but not limited[KM1] , to:

  • Integrate the delivery of VOAWW and other sister agency services, including collaboration with ECEAP, Food Bank and Teen Shelter programs on campus.
  • Promote programs and increase networking with community partners.
  • Develop, expand, and supervise the Sky Valley Community Resource Center programs, Resource Center support specialists, Free Showers Program, East County Navigation.
  • Manage staff including hours, wages, professional development, and performance.
  • Participate in community groups and local initiatives that address issues important to those we serve, including but not limited to leading SVCRC’s Participant Advisory Board, attending Sultan leadership meetings with the City, local ‘Coffee with the City’ meetings, etc.
  • Assist with leadership of Foundational Community Supports (FCS) efforts for SVCRC, maintaining a small caseload of primarily clients receiving these services in coordination with the Navigator. Keep current on available training and professional development in FCS efforts at the County and State levels.
  • Manage small caseload of general SVCRC families and individuals receiving Resource Center services.
  • Administer quarterly audits of all caseloads, including Navigation.
  • Coordinate SVCRC signature events; Sky Valley Community Picnic, Sultan Harvest.
  • Recruit, onboard and train volunteers as needed.
  • Operate within approved budget.
  • Raise funds through fundraising, community partnerships, and other resource development activities in partnership with Executive Director[KM2]  and Development team.
  • Develop additional resources and opportunities as needed by those we serve.
  • Manage contracts, maintain records, and generate reports as required or requested.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards to safeguard confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • BA degree in Human Services or a related field. Related experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Experience in human services program creation and delivery.
  • Experience in community organizing efforts preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven budgeting and financial management experience in similar position.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with government agencies, contractors, donors, other human services providers, faith community, etc.
  • Knowledge of available resources.
