Responsibilities:

• Take incoming calls from operators across the country who need assistance regarding preventive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Check daily, process, and schedule all offsite work related to outside preventive maintenance, break downs and driver inspection reported issues. Coordinate and follow-up on outside vendors regularly regarding outstanding scheduled repairs.
• Compiles repair details in TMT for onsite units and road service trucks.
• Review, modify and finalize repair orders accurately, direct questions to Foreman and Supervisor where appropriate.
• Invoice customers at the time of closing order; confirm price table accuracy/customer billing information
• Opens warranty claims, tracks & process, follow up on warranty shortages and claims requiring additional information/parts/pictures.
• Develop estimates for customers.
• Adept and proficient at TMT, TMW and all required Microsoft Suite tools used, or similar applications.
• Adept and proficient with all shop related operating procedures, processes, and workflows.
• Responsible for rotating week and weekends on call coverage (company cell phone provided or reimbursement).
• Answer incoming calls in a professional manner, return all customer calls prior to close of business each day. Follow up to completion on all inquiries.
• Knowledgeable and supports Safety, ELD & CSA communications with Drivers.

Qualifications:

• 5 – year experience as a Service Writer
• 3 – year experience specialized knowledge in the heavy-duty equipment field
• High School diploma; Associate degree preferred
• Mechanical/technical knowledge
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to details
• Self-motivated/team player
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to company drug free workplace policies

Physical requirements:

• Required to stand for long periods of time; walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to read, write, talk and hear
• Repetitive tasks with few breaks
