Summary:
Manage a high-volume book of business (250–300+ clients), oversee tax return preparation and review, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage workflows at scale. You’ll be responsible for signing off on returns, delivering tax planning strategies, and leading a team of junior tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large portfolio of 250–300+ business and individual tax clients
- Review and sign off on complex tax returns (primarily business-focused)
- Provide proactive tax planning and consulting throughout the year
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings
- Oversee workstreams and deadlines to ensure accurate, timely filings
- Train, mentor, and manage junior tax team members
- Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and advise clients accordingly
- Identify process improvement opportunities within client service delivery
