Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accounting Services Associate with 3–4 years of hands-on bookkeeping or financial services experience to join our growing team. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions for multiple clients, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing reliable financial data to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including bank reconciliations, AP/AR, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Maintain general ledgers and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Process payroll entries and reconcile payroll accounts as needed.
  • Manage client communications and respond promptly to accounting-related inquiries.
  • Support senior accountants and partners with financial analysis and client onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm procedures.
  • Assist with implementation and optimization of accounting software or cloud-based systems.

Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting services, or financial operations (non-tax).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or other cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, Bill.com, Gusto).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a small firm environment.
