Job Summary
To provide food to the guests in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork.
Job Duties /Tasks / Results/ Responsibilities
- Delivery of food to the guests ensuring that it is delivered promptly and of the proper temperature.
- Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish room or specified area.
- Stock bussing stations.
- Assist in Room Service if needed.
Buffet Runner
- Perform buffet set-up.
- Refill food and beverage items as needed.
- Stock Buffet stations with lg. plates, med. plates, small plates, cereal bowls, and soups spoons.
- Maintain food looking fresh and appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness of buffet area.
- Assist guest with food if needed.

- Proficient in the English language. Second language is an asset.
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.

- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 30-40 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
- Must be able to cooperate with co-workers and function in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, push, and pull when necessary.
- Must be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well-organized and attentive to details.
- Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures in the kitchen areas.
Physical Demands /Requirement
Most of the time spent standing, walking or there are some requirement to lift moderate weight (10-20 pounds)

Typically located in a comfortable area. There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, odors, extreme temperature, inclement weather, noise, or lights.

The hotel will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. The team member will also come in contact with noxious and abrasive chemicals that must be handled properly to ensure the safety of the team member and others.
