Description

The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to compensation, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and team member relations. S/He will promote a safe and welcoming working environment to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. The Human Resources Manager will work with department heads, Hotel Manager, General Manager and Corporate Human Resources to ensure maximum efficiency.

The Human Resources Manager shall strive to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Hotel’s Culture and Core Hotels & Resorts’ Core Values.

Qualifications

Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business Management preferred
  • Human Resources experience, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Supervisory experience in hotel work environment
  • Familiar with a CBA and working with union team members
  • Background in recruiting, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, labor and employee relations, and training
  • Willingness and ability to promote a positive team member culture and core values
  • Fluency in other languages beneficial

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have exceptional communication skills
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Human Resource Information System
  • Must be detailed orientated and work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with team members
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Possess strong motivational, organizational and verbal communication skills.
