Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in HRIS, ATS, LMS, and Performance Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of workplace benefit programs and plan administration.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment and labor laws, including DOL, FMLA, EEO, NLRA, and FLSA.
- Understanding of health plan compliance rules (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.).
- Exceptionally organized and process-driven with keen attention to detail.

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources, with demonstrated progressive responsibilities in people operations and HR administration required.
- A minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity role required.
- Proven experience administering HR programs including employee health and wellness plans required.
- Experience processing payroll and/or responding to and handling payroll matters required.
- Proficiency with HR systems and best practices required.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations required.
- Experience working in a Union environment or involvement with grievances, workplace investigations, or labor relations preferred.
- HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Any combination of extensive experience and education may be considered in lieu of advanced education.
