About the Role

Reinsurance allows companies to mitigate financial risk by transferring portions of insurance liabilities to a reinsurance provider. Axiom works closely with dealers, administrators, and financial institutions to set up and maintain reinsurance programs, ensuring profitability and compliance with industry standards.

As a Reinsurance Accountant, you will play a key role in managing reinsurance trust accounts, analyzing premium flows, and reconciling financial transactions to ensure clients’ programs operate smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bank statement reconciliations for reinsurance accounts.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process and manage premium, claims, and expense allocations related to reinsurance programs.
• Handle ad hoc requests and special projects related to reinsurance account operations.
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of reinsurance systems, agreements, and financial documents.
• Work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless account management.
• Effectively analyze data and provide supporting documentation to address customer queries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Experience in insurance or reinsurance is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
