- 0 direct reports. This position does not have direct reports, but the Human Resources Generalist may stand or act in a supervisory role in the absence of the Director of Human Resources.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education – bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or equivalent field preferred. (Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Licenses/Certifications – PHR-CA or SPHR-CA or ability of obtaining certification is a plus.
- Relative Experience – 5-7 years in a generalist role, specialist, or relevant support position and thorough knowledge of federal, California, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Knowledge of employee benefits and laws such as FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.
- Industry Related Experience - Aerospace/Airline/Aviation/FAA Compliance experience a plus.
- Customer Service - 4 years of experience in a fast-paced, high volume, customer-focused environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Must successfully obtain a Driver badge through the Southern California Logistics Airport.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Competencies) the individual must possess:
- Computer Skills – Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with experience with HRIS and Talent Management System and ERP software such as Paycom, Corridor etc.

- Language – Excellent written and verbal communication (English). Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a required.
