Position Summary
The Academic Program Manager provides leadership to LMM’s Workforce Development Vocational Training Programs in order to maintain quality training experiences and enhance student outcomes. This individual will manage all vocational service staff and instructional faculty as well as curriculum standards and evaluation. This position will be responsible for coordination and supervision of all functions relating to course scheduling, registration, transfer credit evaluation, degree conferrals, commencement exercises, and maintenance of student records. This position is also responsible for coordinating referral agencies and maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies to support participant success and job placement outcomes.
Some of the duties include:
- Develop and oversee academic and vocational curricula tailored to meet labor market demands and participant needs.
- Supervise vocational service staff, including instructors, career specialists, and support staff, ensuring alignment with program objectives
- Perform activities to maintain COE accreditation, OSBCCS certification, American Culinary Federation (ACF) recognition and other certifications; serve as liaison to these certifying bodies.
- Lead annual curriculum review engaging faculty and other Workforce Development staff
- Plan and develop curricula as needed for expanding program offerings
- Monitor and report on program metrics, including enrollment, attendance, graduation rates and employment outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral agencies, including social service organizations, community partners, and government programs, to ensure a steady pipeline of participants.
- Maintain individual student academic paperwork
- Coordinate participant intake, assessment, and placement process with referral agencies
- Quality review of data entry in LEARN system
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts to identify future certificate and degree programs
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree in education, workforce development, social work, or related field preferred. Prior experience working with high-barrier populations (e.g. individuals living in poverty, experiencing homelessness, criminal justice system involved) a plus. Must be able to pass a PREA background check by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections
