Join our Legal team as Assistant General Counsel, where you’ll play a key role in drafting and managing contracts, supporting litigation and handling receiverships. What You’ll Do:
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate leases and vendor and service agreements.
- Assist with maintaining templates and approval workflows.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms and associated risks.
Receivership Support
- Assist in managing legal aspects of court-appointed receiverships.
- Coordinate with courts and internal teams.
- Attend occasional court hearings and help ensure compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.
Litigation Support
- Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts in coordination with outside counsel.
- Assist with discovery, subpoenas, timelines, and legal file management.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline legal workflows and increase consistency.
- Support development and implementation of new tools and processes to enhance team effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- In good standing as a member of at least one state bar.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or public agency.
- Exposure to leases, litigation, or receiverships is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a practical, business-minded approach.
