Description

Friends University is seeking to fill the Athletic Trainer position in Wichita Kansas. This position assists the management of operations and activities of the Athletic Training Room and assists in the assessment and treatment of injuries suffered by student athletes, and/or recommends other medical treatment as needed. Work hours are an average of 50 – 60 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours will be required.

Qualifications

Experience in an academic discipline or higher education is desired.  Two years' professional experience at college level preferred.  Computer proficiency and familiarity with word-processing and database software desired (Microsoft Office preferred).

A bachelor’s degree in physical education and/or sports medicine is required.  Master’s degree in related field preferred.  National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) necessary.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. CPR/First Aid Certification required. CPR/First Aid Instructor Preferred. Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure required.
