EDI Data Analyst (Remote)
Position Summary
Soluta is seeking a Remote EDI Data Analyst to join our growing EDI team. This role is crucial in managing both inbound and outbound data feed integrations in the group insurance domain. The EDI Data Analyst will gather requirements, configure, test, and deploy inbound data feeds that import employee demographic, employment, and enrollment data into Soluta’s systems. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business, client, and carrier requirements for EDI integrations, and translate those requirements into detailed mapping specifications for both inbound and outbound data feeds.
- Design, implement, and maintain outbound EDI file integrations (e.g., ANSI X12 834 or custom flat files) between Soluta’s platform and insurance carriers, ensuring files meet carrier specifications and industry standards.
- Configure, test, and deploy inbound data feed processes to import external employee demographic, employment, and enrollment data into Soluta’s systems accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of EDI file exchanges (both inbound and outbound) to validate data accuracy and ensure compliance with requirements, working with carriers and partners on test file reviews as needed.
- Monitor ongoing EDI transmissions and data feed processes, proactively troubleshooting and resolving any issues or data discrepancies to minimize impact on operations.
- Act as a liaison between Soluta, insurance carriers, and clients for EDI-related matters, coordinating file testing, resolving data mismatches, and managing updates or changes to data feed configurations.
- Configure and manage secure FTP/SFTP connections for automated data file transfers, and assist in debugging connection issues to ensure reliable delivery of files.
- Maintain thorough documentation of EDI configurations, mapping logic, test plans/results, and change logs for all data feed integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as development, account management, and carrier relations) to support new client implementations and carrier onboarding through effective EDI integration.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve EDI processes or tools, and contribute to enhancements in data integration workflows and overall efficiency.
Required Qualifications

- Strong technical skills and analytical problem-solving abilities, combined with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience configuring and troubleshooting secure FTP/SFTP connections for file transfers.
- Exposure to both single-tenant and multi-tenant system environments for EDI integrations, with an ability to adapt practices accordingly.
