- Master’s degree in library science or information science from an ALA-accredited library school.
- Demonstrated experience in a systems and technical librarian position at an academic library preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to catalog materials using the OCLC network and Library of Congress classification.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including online library systems and web tools, is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, ADOBE, and web development software and applications.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse multi-cultural socio-economic populations in public settings.
- Ability to work productively in a team environment with information technology and library personnel.
- Commitment to the university’s strategic plan, mission and vision of the University.

Founded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education.
