POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Count Manager with all aspects of the Count Department, such as interviewing, scheduling, the slot drop, counting money (slots and table games) and transferring the cash to the Main Bank, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to drop/count staff in the Count Department.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Count Team staff and reporting directly to the Count Manager. (Including scheduling, training, and conflict resolution)
  • Responsible for assisting in overseeing and directing the daily operations of the Drop & Count Room.
  • Responsible for assisting the Count Manager with structuring Count Room operations and producers. As well as assisting in planning Drop routes and routines.
  • Responsible for reporting information regarding count activities and any irregularities to the Count Manager.
  • Perform tasks delegated by the Count Manager as needed to establish proper functionality of the Count department when the Count Manager is inaccessible for any reason.
  • Ensures soft currency is accounted for and recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manually count large amounts of currency.
  • Reviews and compiles reports generated by Count.
  • Ensures company assets are properly accounted for and secured.
  • Accounts for all table games documentation.
  • Oversees the maintenance of machinery used in count room operations.
  • Operates a currency counting machine.
  • Ability to function with secured access for ingress/egress to count room.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

  1. Required Education: HS DIPLOMA   Preferred Education: N/A
  2. Work Experience:
    1. Two years’ minimum experience required in a supervisory/management role.
    2. Two years’ minimum experience working in a count position.
    3. Additional education and/or related work experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position.
  3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Must be computer literate and able to perform basic math computations.
  4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
  5. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
