Description

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for strategy and digital engagement? OOIDA is looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist to join our team and share our voice across social platforms.

As our Social Media Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing creative strategies that grow, engage, and retain audiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in elevating our digital presence through compelling, original content that resonates with our community of independent truckers and industry professionals.

This role blends high-level strategy with hands-on content creation. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure brand voice consistency while staying agile enough to act on trends, adapt strategies in real-time, and foster meaningful engagement.


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement social media strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
  • Lead content creation and development:
    • Generate original concepts and campaign ideas aligned with brand priorities.
    • Create, design, and edit platform-specific content (graphics, videos, short-form, long-form, stories, reels).
    • Repurpose and adapt content for multiple formats to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Ensure content is on-brand, visually compelling, and creatively elevated while meeting performance goals.
  • Manage and grow the brand’s presence across major channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • Use Sprout Social for scheduling, publishing, listening, engagement, and reporting.
  • Track, measure, and optimize engagement, growth, and ROI using Usermaven and platform analytics.
  • Monitor social conversations and industry trends, responding quickly to opportunities or issues.
  • Partner with internal teams to amplify campaigns, events, and thought leadership.
  • Utilize Canva (and other tools) to produce high-quality, on-brand visuals.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables using Monday.com, ensuring speed and accuracy.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to stakeholders to guide strategy.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social media tools, formats, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of professional social media strategy and content development experience.
  • Proven track record of creating engaging, high-performing social content across platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Skilled in Canva (or similar creative tools), Sprout Social, and social media analytics.
  • Ability to work quickly, adapt to shifting priorities, and respond to real-time opportunities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred

  • Familiarity with SEO and paid social advertising.
  • Analytical and data tracking skills 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
