ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Toffee Cook is responsible for producing the candy from start to finish. Ingredients need to be carefully checked, weighed and added to the mixture at specific points in the candy making process. Quality control standards must be met at each step of production.
Other duties to support the full range of activities of the company can include processing shipping labels, light maintenance duties, assisting other departments, preparation of other candy products, and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up toffee kitchen each morning
- Prepare toffee according to established recipe and procedures
- Carefully weigh and check ingredients then add at specific time in the candy making process
- Prepare packages for mailing in shipping and receiving department
- Work with others in a collaborative, team environment
- Periodic deep cleaning of toffee kitchen and equipment following General Manufacturing Practices
- Light janitorial duties as requested, to include cleaning break room and locker room
- Follow safety procedures
- Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance
- Assist other departments as needed
