Revenue Operations Manager

The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking an experienced Revenue Operations Manager to drive strategic revenue optimization across the entire customer lifecycle. This role will lead the evolution of our revenue operations function, working cross-functionally to architect processes, systems, and analytics that accelerate growth and enhance operational excellence.

POSITION DETAILS

Structured as a remote full-time, salaried position. This position will report to the Director of Revenue Operations.

We have been a 100% remote company since the beginning! This position is eligible for remote work from the following locations: USA.

The Details

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Revenue Operations Leadership

  • Lead the design and optimization of end-to-end revenue operations across marketing, sales, and customer success to drive predictable growth
  • Contribute to strategic revenue planning and forecasting, building sophisticated models to support business decisions
  • Own revenue performance analysis and provide strategic insights to leadership on growth opportunities and operational improvements
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on revenue processes, KPIs, and operational cadences

Systems & Technology Architecture

  • Assist in architecting and maintaining the complete revenue technology stack, ensuring optimal integration and data flow between systems
  • Assist in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing revenue tools, including CRM (HubSpot), marketing automation, sales enablement, and business intelligence platforms
  • Design and implement custom integrations and automated workflows to eliminate manual processes and improve data accuracy

Advanced Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain comprehensive revenue dashboards, forecasting models, and performance reporting using SQL and business intelligence tools
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on customer lifecycle metrics, conversion rates, pipeline health, and revenue attribution
  • Extract and analyze data from multiple databases to generate actionable insights for revenue optimization
  • Develop and maintain data governance standards to ensure accuracy and consistency across all revenue reporting

Process Excellence & Documentation

  • Design, document, and continuously improve revenue operations processes across the entire customer journey
  • Lead pipeline management optimization, including lead scoring, routing, and conversion analysis
  • Establish and maintain revenue operations playbooks, training materials, and best practices documentation
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies through automation and process standardization

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on revenue goals and processes
  • Support go-to-market planning and execution for new products, pricing strategies, and market expansion initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance on revenue recognition processes and compliance requirements
  • Enable sales and marketing teams with tools, training, and insights to drive performance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Expert-level experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
  • Strong experience with marketing automation platforms and sales enablement tools
  • Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Experience working with revenue forecasting models and conducting statistical analysis
  • Understanding of API integrations and data architecture principles

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Deep understanding of revenue operations best practices across the full customer lifecycle
  • Experience with revenue attribution modeling and multi-touch attribution analysis
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience with subscription/recurring revenue models and customer lifecycle analytics
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and analysis

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working with contractors and external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote environment

Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred, but experience matters more. 
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations, or a related analytical role
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing revenue processes and systems
  • Experience with database management and advanced data analysis
  • EdTech or education industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in subscription or recurring revenue business models preferred
  • Background in EdTech is a plus, but not required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with revenue recognition processes and compliance
  • Background in pricing strategy and go-to-market planning
  • Certification in relevant platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools and statistical modeling
  • Previous experience in high-growth or scaling organizations

COMPENSATION

Compensation is commensurate with experience and market. We encourage you to discuss your compensation requirements early in the process. 

The Process

For most roles, the process is as follows: 

  • Step 1: ~30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager
  • Step 2: Round 2 packet & Interview
    • Given that AOEU is 100% remote, this step is intended to see how you might work through some of the daily tasks, responsibilities, and challenges that could arise in this role. You will be given a prompt and be asked to complete an assignment which will then be used to guide a ~1 hour follow-up Zoom interview with 1-2 stakeholders. The intention is for you to get a sense of the role and give us an opportunity to see your skills in action. Your answers will not be used for any other purposes beyond evaluating your candidacy.
  • Step 3: Follow-up interview
  • For certain managerial or high-collaboration roles, you may be asked to participate in an additional Zoom interview.
