The Opportunity: The Room Attendant Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure member and guest accommodations are consistently maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and comfort. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to room attendants, ensuring service standards are met and that the country club’s values of excellence, hospitality, and attention to detail are consistently upheld.
Duties and Functions
- Supervise, train, and support room attendants in maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across all guest and member accommodations.
- Conduct daily room inspections to ensure quality control, cleanliness, and adherence to established standards.
- Assign and monitor daily workload schedules, ensuring proper staffing coverage and timely completion of duties.
- Assist with housekeeping duties when needed, maintaining a “hands-on” leadership approach.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; communicate needs and coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager for replenishment.
- Address member and guest concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Enforce safety, security, and sanitation procedures in all housekeeping operations.
- Document and report maintenance issues or damage to facilities for timely resolution.
- Support onboarding and continuous training of staff, reinforcing proper cleaning techniques, service etiquette, and club standards.
- Collaborate with other departments (Front Desk, Maintenance, Food & Beverage) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualification Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or housekeeping management training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of housekeeping or room attendant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs.) for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
