The Opportunity: The Server Assistant supports the food and beverage service team by ensuring smooth and efficient dining experiences for members and guests. This role focuses on providing attentive, prompt, and courteous service while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Duties and Functions
- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist servers with food and beverage service, including delivering dishes, clearing plates, and refilling beverages.
- Set up and break down dining areas according to club standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, chairs, and service stations throughout service.
- Replenish supplies such as linens, silverware, and condiments.
- Support the server team by communicating guest needs or requests to the appropriate staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with banquet or special event setups as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and club policies.
Qualification Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality is a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
