Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in building acoustics or HVAC noise and vibration control.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or pursuit thereof is a plus.
- LEED AP or other sustainability credentials are advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in sound and vibration mitigation and calculation for HVAC equipment and systems.
- Strong knowledge of acoustical and vibration principles, especially in relation to building services.
- Proficiency with acoustical modeling software and measurement tools.
- Familiarity with HVAC system components and layout.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and client interactions.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits to job sites or test facilities.
- Sit/stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
- Occasional travel for site visits.
- Lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
