Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for safely and efficiently processing incoming recyclable materials so that outbound commodities are acceptable for sale to various brokers or mills. Must prep for disposal and removal from facility.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Evaluates recyclable organization for most efficient space utilization.
  • Accurately sorts, maintains, and stages product.
  • Adheres to and enforces strict safety standards.
  • Provides the highest level of customer service to the Manufacturing team to maximize company success.
  • Analyzes material flow and determines optimum control levels.
  • Ensures recyclables are appropriately labeled and placed in accurate bin locations.
  • Ensures adherence to auditing policies concerning inventory.
  • Ensures maximum utilization of facilities.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Degree(s): High School diploma, or equivalent.

License(s): None

Certification(s): None

Essential Mental Functions:

  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
  • Exhibits good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Overtime required as business demands.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
