Answer reservation calls and book guest rooms, spa, golf, dining and water sports.

  • Answer phone in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answers all phone calls promptly.
  • Record all mail, e-mail, and fax reservations received.
  • Convey rates and package information to guests.
  • Enter and retrieve information re: rooms, rates, billing, etc., on computer system.
  • Assist guest with directions, reservations, outlet information, general information and any special requests.
  • Handle incoming calls from transient guest’s and groups for resort reservations.
  • Assist the Front Desk in blocking of special requests as received.
  • Utilize resort upsell strategies.
  • Process group information and group rooming lists.
  • Print labels, envelopes, etc.
  • Process gift certificates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Revenue Manager and/or Reservations Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not necessary
  • Property Management System experience
  • Proficiency in Springer Miller and Microsoft Office

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The position is indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time either sitting at their desk.
