Description

Under the supervision of the Logistics Analyst the Data Entry Clerk will support business needs across the organization by compiling and handling routine clerical tasks relating to entering, updating, and validating data.  They will be required to ensure the data is accurate, up-to-date, organized and meets any contractual requirements.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Updating, validating, and formatting data into databases and spreadsheets
  • Manual typing of information and/or scanning physical documents
  • Updating and maintaining existing data
  • Organizing, maintaining, and creating digital files
  • Assisting with generating reports from data
  • Communicating with team members to clarify data requirements
  • Ensuring data security and confidentiality
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Understands data confidentiality principles and follows them to the letter
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Retrieve and update source files
  • Identify and troubleshoot report failures

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to acquire TSA Certification (Required)
  • Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills (Required)
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)
  • Expert level of experience with Microsoft data software and office suite (required)
  • Data Entry and analysis experience (required)
  • Ability to work independently

Education and /or experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 1-2 years of power BI experience.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Language skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing, to all levels

Computer skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook; extensive knowledge of Excel and Power BI, including but not limited to, statistical analysis, pivot tables, table lookup functions, etc.
  • Knowledge of database software tools and applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs/software

 

Physical demands:

  • Sitting eight (8) hours or more per day; standing and/or walking two (2) hours or more per day.
  • Eight or more hours per day doing computer work.
  • Ability to bend, reach and stoop.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office based

Travel Requirements:

  • Very occasional travel as needed.
