Position Summary
The Preventative Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing general repair and maintenance duties throughout the Community, interior and exterior
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function)

Completes assigned work orders (*CF)

Takes “ownership” of appearance and condition of Woodland Pond
-
Performs general semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks throughout Community as assigned working independently and as part of a team (*CF)
-
Adapts to quickly changing priorities
-
Accepts/documents assigned work through Worxhub work order software (*CF)
-
Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order
-
Participates in On-Call rotation
-
Completes all required training and in-services
-
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-
High school diploma, or HSE
-
Minimum of five years related experience or graduate of technical school with at least three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Must have demonstrated working knowledge maintenance type work
-
Valid NYS driver’s license
-
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos, and instruction manuals
-
Demonstrated ability to operate a computer and function with work order software
-
Ability to multitask
-
Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population
Degree of travel
Occasional off-site meetings, seminars, and conferences. Frequent travel within building and throughout community and to local merchants
Disruption to Routine
Must adapt to frequent schedule changes, department workload, and resident needs. Possible overtime
