The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance related skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled tasks working with other staff and independently
The majority of the tasks performed by this position will be outside
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function)
- Completes Work Order information and other required logs on Worxhub using provided tablets and computers (*CF)
- Works alone and/or with others performing maintenance tasks and work orders
- Communicates to supervisors and other staff about assigned work
- Completes all required training and in-services
- “Owns” functionality of all exterior maintenance equipment, materials, workspace, and vehicles
- All other duties as assigned
EXAMPLE ESSENTIAL TASKS –
Maintenance Tech is to be able to independently complete tasks similar to these in a timely manner and has extensive experience doing so in an exterior (and interior) work environment. Included in completing each task is selecting tools, materials and equipment needed for the task:
- Performs routine grounds litter and appearance policing
- Maintains water features, awnings, railings, trails, etc.
- Maintains readiness of all equipment, vehicles, work space and materials used for exterior maintenance work
- Provides information on prioritization of exterior maintenance tasks to supervisors
- Performs grounds care as needed, to include planting beds, lawn, shrubs, etc
- Performs exterior maintenance tasks alone and with assistance
- Makes runs to the dump and recycle centers as needed
- Informs supervisors when assistance is needed
- Perform miscellaneous grounds tasks, including participating in snow removal operations during scheduled shift and as needed
- Completes assigned related maintenance tasks inside when needed or weather prevents outside work
- Assists other Maintenance staff as requested
