Position Title: Physician, Psychiatrist

As a Psychiatrist at Diversus Health, you’ll be a key member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to transforming mental and behavioral healthcare. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive clinical services across inpatient and/or outpatient settings, using your expertise to support individuals on their path to wellness.
You’ll take the lead in psychiatric medication management, conducting evaluations and diagnostic assessments, and contributing to integrated treatment planning. Your work will directly influence positive health outcomes, helping clients navigate challenges related to mental health and substance use.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for clients.

Offer evidence-based psychotropic treatment and medication management.

Contribute psychiatric expertise to multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Document assessment findings and interventions according to clinical standards.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (ERs, local physicians, etc.) to ensure coordinated care.

Participate in utilization management activities, including authorizations of medical necessity.

Provide consultations and clinical guidance to colleagues across the agency.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Licensed Psychiatrist (MD/DO) in Colorado in good standing and with no restrictions.
- Active DEA
- Board certification or board eligibility in area of specialty (Child, Adult or Geriatric Psychiatry; Substance Abuse; Forensics; Emergency Psychiatry; Alternative and Complimentary Medical; Women's Health; or Integrated Health), required OR must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire for continued employment.
- Knowledge and competency in psychiatric assessment and treatment of populations served.
- Familiarity with Community Mental Health, Recover Models of Care, Resilience Theory, strongly preferred.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately and professionally implement and document the services provided to patients.
- Must possess basic computer skills and type 25+ w.p.m. for the input and output of patient information using an electronic record.
