ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic HR Compliance & Workforce Operations Expert to serve as a strategic and operational leader within our HR function. This hybrid role bridges our Center of Excellence (CoE) and HR Operations, ensuring both high-level compliance strategy and hands-on workforce execution in a regulated nutraceutical manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in nutraceuticals or pharmaceuticals, thrive in a fast-paced production setting, and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to workforce management and compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement frameworks, policies, and best practices for HR compliance and workforce management.
- Standardize labor practices and compliance processes across multiple sites.
- Drive innovation in workforce planning, compliance automation, and labor analytics.
- Maintain real-time workforce rosters by department/shift; reconcile with Finance and Operations.
- Support leaders with staffing forecasts and peak cycle planning.
- Deliverables include: Compliance playbooks tailored to manufacturing environments, workforce planning models and tools, benchmarking labor practices across regions.
- Manage day-to-day compliance and workforce logistics at the City of Industry site.
- Conduct regular audits, reporting, and direct support to plant managers and supervisors.
- Oversee shift scheduling, labor tracking, and incident reporting.
- Ensure adherence to California labor laws, OSHA standards, and internal HR policies.
- Partner with managers on corrective action plans for compliance or workforce gaps.
- Build and maintain HR dashboards (turnover, absenteeism, incident reporting, OT trends) for leadership review.
- Coordinate compliance and safety training (harassment prevention, OSHA, GMP); maintain training matrices.
- Lead employee relations case management (investigations, documentation, corrective actions) and trend reporting.
- Partner with Quality and EHS to align compliance and workforce practices with GMP, OSHA, ISO, and FDA standards.
- Maintain and update HR, safety, and labor policies; conduct quarterly audits for compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Ensure HR processes align with audit requirements (training records, personnel files, time & attendance).
- Administer OSHA 300/301 logs, injury/illness reporting, and Cal/OSHA documentation.
- Support incident investigations with EHS/Quality and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Track compliance exposure and workforce sentiment to anticipate employee relations or organizing risks.
- Support required government reporting (EEO-1, VETS-4212, ACA, etc.).
