Description

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources (“HR”) department at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”).

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide administrative support to HR including:
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Answering telephones
    • Ordering office supplies
    • Other clerical and administrative duties
  • Create employee files and labels
  • Ensure all documents are filed timely
  • Input data into Human Resources Information System (“HRIS”) system
  • Initiate and monitor new hire onboarding checklists completion
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Ensure background screening and reference check processes are followed
  • Oversee badge process for volunteers and staff
  • Assist employees with Employee Self-Service time keeping tool
  • Maintain staff photos in HRIS and staff photos electronic folder
  • Complete monthly employment background check processes and maintain results in the Church Management System (“CRM”) and the HRIS
  • Assist with after payroll filing
  • Update organization charts
  • Monitor the jobs and HR inbox
  • Assist with external recruiting opportunities
  • Document HR processes
  • Assist with HR department related projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
  • College education preferred
  • High expectation to uphold confidentiality of HR data
  • Strong attention to and accuracy in detail
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work with a sense of urgency
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion in employee relations while ensuring alignment with PBC’s mission
  • Ability to work a Monday – Friday schedule with occasional Sundays as needed
  • Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, use of stairs, and working at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time with the ability to perform continuous repetitive hand and finger movements
