GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
This role helps to reach the parishioners of the St. Cecilia, St. Olaf, and St. Peter’s parishes with updates, and communications to help them join in community and fellowship with events within the parish family. We seek to reflect God’s Faith, Hope, and Love to the community through our media engagement.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
The ideal candidate coordinates and provides social media management support to our parish family. The Communications Manager will develop social media posting, website updates, printed bulletins, inserts, bulk emails, and outgoing correspondence to parishioners of the parish family.
This role is a part-time hybrid with two regularly scheduled days in the office per week, one day in each parish. Total work hours expected per week are 10-15, while in the beginning it may be up to 20 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
- Coordinates and compiles parish wide updates into weekly bulletin.
- Develop weekly email updates to go out to email subscribers.
- Social Media Management:
- Posting to Facebook and Instagram
- Engage and interact with parishioners in a professional and pastoral manner.
- Regularly updates the parish websites: Mass, Announcements, and Latest News.
- Creates items in Canva i.e. bulletin inserts, special mailings.
- Updates information on our ParishStaq app.
- Occasionally attend parish events to take photos.
