Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Competently operate all stations in the buffet as assigned (both front and back of house).
  • Take responsibility for all food produced by the Banquet kitchen.
  • Train all new cooks at any and all stations as needed.
  • Prepare food for banquet menus.
  • Handle banquet food plating and presentation.
  • Take direction from the Banquet Chef.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Assume a leadership role in the kitchen.
  • Provide a consistently high level of service.
  • Identify issues and suggest potential solutions.
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Ensure that all Banquet staff members remain busy and motivated.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a full-service restaurant required.
  • Experience with buffet food and banquets preferred, but not required.

  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to tolerate heat.
  • Good coordination and manual dexterity.
