Position Summary:
To provide technical sales support to the sales staff for the Company’s digital video products, back office products, speed enforcement and speed awareness products. This position will include, but is not limited to, technical sales support and presentations of designed solutions for customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interface with (potential) customers via telephone, virtually and/or face-to-face at customers’ sites.
- Maintain professional and friendly relationships with customers.
- Train IT professionals and law enforcement resources in video and speed product functionality, solution architecture, management, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing relevant tasks as needed.
- Assist sales associates in the development of an IT solution based on customer needs.
- Document all customer calls and contacts by entering a detailed record of such into the Customer Relations Management software.
- Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers’ technical and operational needs.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and competitive offerings that effect target markets.
- Deliver virtual sales presentations, product demonstrations, and trainings via various web conferencing tools.
- Develop, maintain and update virtual sales presentations, product demonstrations, and trainings for both live web conferences and any recorded content events.
- Assist in the development of sales proposals for customers.Â
- Assist and Collaborate with Marketing in generating and delivering product information for or at trade shows.
- Recommend new technical products and product modifications or terminations.
- Dress in business professional attire and conduct business in a professional manner in order to maintain the Company’s high standards of professionalism, integrity and reputation for excellence.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the virtual marketplace, trends within, and the tools best suited for selling products through virtual presentations, and recommend resource investments based on this research.
- Utilize the virtual studio, and included technology, to assist the sales team with the continued growth of customer opportunities via web conferencing presentations.
- Assist with the development of training materials used for customer education, including written technical processes and video training materials.
- Assist marketing with updated product photos, videos, and promotional items to be used for sales presentations and customer outreach efforts.
- Perform on-site and remote installations of video solutions for customers as necessary.
- In coordination with Video Engineering and Technical Support, assist in the resolution of customer issues during installations. (Level 2 or Level 3 Technical Support)
- Act as a backup support resource in the event that Technical Support Services and Engineering personnel are unavailable to assist with any customer issues.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the sales and production process from pre-sales through post-installation, and recommend improvements to the processes where applicable.
