SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Plant Financial Analyst actively manages the monthly financial closing and preparation of financial statements and analyses. This role will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls that meet internal and external requirements. The Plant Financial Analyst has overall responsibility for maintaining “balance sheet integrity” including timely reconciliation of accounts. This position works closely with the site for all accounting, reporting, policy, control and other relevant topics to ensure consistency and accountability.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reviews to ensure a timely and accurate month end close process, as well as facilitate the reporting of monthly financial statements, weekly operational dashboards and other ad hoc reports.
- Coordinates, processes, and analyzes production data from ERP / Plex system for various accounting expense accounts; including but not limited to freight, sales, labor, inventory, scrap, and revenue.
- Maintains and reviews general ledger daily.
- Manages projects (capital and tooling) – cash flow/ expenses/revenue and all associated tracking and schedules.
- Collaborate, prepare, review, and maintain capital expenditure requests with onsite leadership team.
- Manages new program financial tracking and analysis and work with program finance to ensure quoted margins are adhered to.
- Serves as the financial contact at plant to help activities related to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
- Compiles data and file state taxes (Sales & Use) monthly.
- Identifies systems process improvements and leads implementation of changes.
- Supports any additional projects/assignments for audit, month end, yearend procedures.
