We’re looking for a Prep Cook to join our back-of-house family and help us keep things, prepped, fresh, and clean.

The Role:
As a Prep Cook, you’ll be the backbone of the kitchen, responsible for prepping ingredients, receiving and storing deliveries, and ensuring our kitchen remains sanitized. You’ll assist the chefs, support your teammates, and make sure every bite starts with the right foundation.

What You'll Do:
- Prep vegetables, sauces, and recipes as directed by the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
- Help prepare daily staff meals
- Stock and maintain the cafeteria with food, condiments, and essentials
- Receive, check in, label, and rotate deliveries following F.I.F.O. standards
- Ice and maintain seafood products and manage meltwater properly
- Ensure all food is labeled, dated, covered, and stored properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep station at all times
- Follow all kitchen safety standards when handling sharp tools and hot/cold items
- Show up on time, in full uniform, and ready to work with a positive attitude

What We're Looking For:

Basic food knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations

Prior prep or kitchen experience (hotel, spa, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus)

Strong knife skills, with knowledge of basic knife cuts (and keeping those knives sharp!)

Ability to read, follow, and carry out recipes and instructions accurately

Organizational and sanitation skills—you thrive in a clean, well-ordered kitchen

Clear communication skills; English required, but multilingual is a plus in our diverse team

Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism—you show up on time, in full clean uniform, and ready to contribute

A collaborative, respectful approach—you work well with others and jump in wherever needed

Positive attitude and adaptability—you can stay cool and calm when the kitchen heats up

Must bring and maintain your own knives and tools
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and work on your feet for at least 8 hours a day

Comfortable seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects with hands (often while multitasking)

Safe handling of sharp tools, slicers, and other kitchen equipment

Exposure to hot ovens, cold storage, and sometimes flammable kitchen materials

Ability to lift, carry, move, and push up to 50 lbs regularly

Occasional kneeling, crouching, sitting, or climbing as tasks require
