Position Title: Scaffold Carpenter

Position Summary:
The Scaffold Carpenter is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures. This role supports the Leadman and scaffold crew to ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with scaffold materials, tools, and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Leadman and crew in the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
  • Identify, gather, and transport materials and equipment to designated work areas.
  • Participate in the chain line process to safely pass and receive scaffold components.
  • Ensure all scaffold activities are performed safely and in accordance with company and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with site housekeeping after completion of scaffold tasks.
  • Secure and load materials properly for transportation to and from job sites.
  • Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the Leadman or Supervisor.
  • Support the team in maintaining productivity and efficiency on all scaffold projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience in industrial or construction environments.
  • Knowledge of scaffold components, materials, and industry-standard erection/dismantling procedures.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Physically able to lift and carry materials and work at heights as required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test (certain client sites require this)

Preferred:

  • Valid TWIC card and OSHA or safety council certifications.
  • Experience in petrochemical or industrial settings.
