Polytechnic School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Girls’ Soccer Goalie Coach to support the development of our student-athletes. This position focuses on training and mentoring goalkeepers while assisting the head coach in building a competitive and positive team environment.
Responsibilities
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide specialized training for goalkeepers, focusing on technique, positioning, communication, and overall development.
- Assist the head coach in planning and leading practices, drills, and conditioning sessions.
- Support game-day preparation, including warm-ups, strategy, and in-game adjustments.
- Mentor and encourage student-athletes, fostering growth both on and off the field.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive culture within the program.
- Help monitor academic progress and overall well-being of players in collaboration with staff and administration.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as equipment management and program logistics as needed.
- Engage robustly in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote a healthy learning environment;
- Willingness to take on other duties as needed.
Physical requirements and work environment
- Work in an environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines, as well as a diverse array of contacts;
- Work at a desk and computer;
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds;
- Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled classroom environment;
- Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
