Job Summary
The Irrigation Technician will troubleshoot field issues such as valves not working, bad solenoids, cut wires, and bad modules. An Irrigation Technician can foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities. Candidate must have experience in operating a locator, wiring and re-wiring irrigation clocks and programming decoders.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
-
Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads

Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools to minimize down time

Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements

Operates, maintains, and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, and computer and irrigation control wire

Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Irrigation Crew Leader and or Account Manager

Maintains a daily log of completed repairs

Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance

Regular and reliable attendance
