Position Status: Part Time
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. Weekends Required.

Located in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, Lake Junaluska is a conference and retreat center that hosts over 50,000 overnight guests annually. We have over 400 lodging rooms, a campground, and meeting space for up to 2,000 people. All of our facilities are located on a scenic 1,200 acre campus which boasts panoramic views, abundant recreation opportunities, and a 200 acre lake. Our market ranges from youth groups to affluent leisure guests primarily from the Southeastern U.S.
Essential Functions

Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of Christian hospitality to “exceed guest expectations”.

Responsible for booking housing reservations for persons, individually or as a group, requesting accommodations at Lake Junaluska.

Must schedule all guest rooms and communicate specific information such as; required deposits, cancelation policy, and rooming list policies prior to arrival.

Responsible for the data entry and the accuracy of information entered into the hospitality systems. To include, but not limited to;

Responsible for maintaining accurate and balanced folios.

Assist the sales and marketing department with implementing direct sales and marketing efforts.

Responsible for telemarketing efforts to potential new groups, current and past guests, which may include cold calling.

Responds to customer inquiries/complaints in a friendly, positive and timely manner.

Able to communicate with a variety of diverse populations in a manner consistent with the Mission of Lake Junaluska Assembly.

Maintain files for various conferences and events utilizing Lake Junaluska facilities.

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to the supervisor or the Human Resources department.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
