The responsibility of the server assistant is to provide back up to our servers including but not limited to cleaning and resetting tables. This job is extremely important as the most expensive table in a restaurant is an empty/dirty one. The ability of the server assistant to quickly and safely bus and set a table to the standard of the restaurant assists the host/hostess in setting the pace of the service. You must be able to safely carry trays that exceed forty pounds and maintain a fast-paced work flow while being on your feet for extended periods of time. It is also the responsibility of the server assistant to ensure that the needs of the servers are fulfilled by maintaining stocked server stations which include silverware, linens, trash cans and other items that are consistent with timely service.
